THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
In order to process your prescription drug order, and in some instances in order to comply with the law, it is necessary for us to ask that you provide us with some personal information. This information includes your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, height, weight, gender, personal and family medical history, existing medical conditions and known drug allergies. Additionally, if you decide to use a credit or debit card to place an order for prescription drugs, it is necessary that you provide this information to us.
We do not ask for your social security number.
Please note that, because of the way in which we process our customers’ orders, this information is not collected “on-line”. After the forms needed to place an order have been “downloaded” from our website and have been filled out, the completed forms are transmitted only by mail or fax.
In order to improve the content and design of our website, we also collect a limited amount of information on usage, but this information is not identifiable by the individual user. Canadian Meds USA also collects certain information that is volunteered by visitors to our website. This information is not tracked on an individual basis.
THE WAY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Information that you provide to us when placing an order for prescription drugs is used only to the extent necessary to process that order. It is not shared with third parties except to the extent specifically required to complete the order. For example, it is necessary for our affiliated Canadian pharmacy to share the medical information provided with a licensed Canadian physician so that he or she can properly review your medical information and approve your prescription – as required by Canadian law. We will not release any prescription information other than to the customer/patient and to the prescribing or other authorized physician caring for the patient (or, to the extent specifically authorized in writing, to the customer/patient’s authorized representative).
Additionally, your name and address must be disclosed to the postal service in order to ship the products ordered. We also use the information you provide to confirm shipment and delivery (e.g., by telephone, fax or e-mail).
When provided to us, we use e-mail addresses to answer requests for information or to confirm the status of an order. If upon visiting our website, you have indicated that you would like to receive newsletters or other periodic communications regarding our services by e-mail, this information will be provided by using the e-mail address you have given to us. E-mail addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with third parties.
Any information collected that does not relate to a specific order for prescription drugs, including information that is volunteered by visitors to our website, is not tracked or identified by individual user. Again, this information is collected to improve the content and design of our website and is used only for internal review. For example, we may share non-identifying and aggregate information with advertisers by telling an advertiser that a certain number of people visited a certain area of our website over a certain period of time, but no information will be provided that could be used to specifically identify those individuals.
DATA SECURITY
Canadian Meds USA and its affiliated Canadian pharmacy have implemented appropriate physical, electronic and management procedures in order to prevent any unauthorized access to information, maintain data security and to ensure that all of the information provided to us is used correctly.
PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES
If we decide for any reason to change our privacy policy, those changes will be posted here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we use that information and whether; to what extent and under what circumstances that information will or may be disclosed to anyone else.
